    • Canny wait to be pushing for silverware down a full stand of revenue four seasons in a row
    • Moder technology with our Club deck being state of the art and the longest single beam of its type in the world at the time allowed us to keep main stand intact and make it look even better. Issue with Main stand and interior of its listed, so untouchable. But surely modern technology allows us to come up with something radical and or magnificent again keeping history in place. The Copland, Govan and Broamloan will be 50 years old by 2030. Surely the unplaced can be stripped to bare concrete chopped adapted and capacity increased and facilties upgraded. Removing completely would be to expensive. Suggest get a 10 year plan in place close Broamloan 2026 open new 2027, then Govan 2028, open 2029, Copland into 1 massive tear closing 2029 opening 2030. By that time 60000 + capacity. If not more then spend 2 years on main stand restoring adapting and making it the best on the planet. 70000 capacity in the finest on the planet.
    • So what you're saying is you want a new stadium?
    • All very good points. At some point the entire stadium will be totally unfit for purpose and will need to be rebuilt or moved, main stand facade, marble staircase and all.  It won't last forever and we need to come to terms with it.  I'm not saying knock it all down tomorrow but we need to have a vision and a plan in place at some point. I don't think these piecemeal upgrades have ever been done with what a late 21st century stadium should be, they've been done 'at the time' for what was needed at that point in time.  Spending millions to have a couple of hundred extra seats and disabled areas directly behind a singing/standing section is just plain stupid too. There are so many different issues that could be fixed with a proper rebuild. Safe standing section, properly positioned.  Segregated away support area and access from bus park  Massive capacity increase to outstrip timmy (exceeding what they could potentially upgrade to if we did it first) Increased revenue from ST/ticket sales by millions every season Much greater ticket availability for tourists and occasional purchases Steeper stands with better view angles and legroom Infilled corners Acoustic design to enhance atmosphere further Better concourse facilities Better turnstile access More hospitality and premium seating options Meet UEFA elite criteria, tunnel access etc Reduced ongoing maintenance and refurbishment costs Repay the building costs over time from the extra revenue generated and/or stadium sponsorship while maintaining existing budgets.
